Koro fieldtop maker on tennis courts

I have carried out this operation a number of times, all with excellent results. You must ask yourself why do you want to Koro? Thatch removal, take out undesirable grasses and/or level the playing surface. Make sure you have the materials to re-instate ie. top dressing and seed. The procedure was as follows: the surface must be as dry as possible with the turf mown as close as possible, Koro the area keep going until the desired effect is reached, work in the line of play with each pass,so long as the surface is stable spike to a depth of 6" using solid tines(irrigation may be needed) oversow the area using a mechanical seeder with a blend of rye grasses, apply 1-2 tonnes of top dressing conpatible with your root zone of course, lightly rake a finish or drag mat the area cover with a permable grow cover irrigate lightly and often and keep your fingers crossed. I have done this with world class courts and local club courts all with the same result..... Excellent!! be prepared to overseed in the spring just to thicken up the sward, I have done this as late as October in the south of the country good luck
