The LIGATURF football pitch at Hensley Fields has won the unreserved praise of players, game officials and facility stakeholders and is designed to meet 2 Star FIFA Quality Concept for Football Turf testing.
The facility was funded by the Government's $800 million Community Infrastructure Program and will be the new home ground for the Super League outfit, Sydney University. City of Botany Bay Mayor Ron Hoening said at the opening that the facility is the focal point of Sydney sport, that millions of dollars had been poured into the Hensley facility and he still marvels at what has been done.
