When Rob Briscoe from Turftech in Auckland, New Zealand, decided to upgrade his machinery, he wanted the most up to date equipment available and he did his research thoroughly - in fact worldwide!

Turftech is a specialist provider of turf renovation services, drainage system construction and in-ground irrigation installation on sports surfaces and are proud to have maintained the beautiful Gulf Harbour Country Club, who hosted the World Cup of Golf as well as two New Zealand Open Championships. Ed Gilbert contracts manager at Shelton hands over the latest Supertrencher+ 760 to Aaron Hutton of Turftech New Zealand

Turftech are proud of their high quality service and machinery so a requirement for additional machinery meant seeking out the very best available, wherever that may be.

After researching his market thoroughly, Rob opted for Shelton Sportsturf Drainage Solutions, based in the UK. The Shelton team have over 100 years of drainage experience and design and manufacture very specialist machinery which is engineered with sportsturf in mind, so unlike some more traditional drainage methods, it leaves minimal impact on the turf enabling players to be back on the facility a mere 24 hours after the work has been completed!

Rob bought a Supertrencher+ 760, two Hi-lift trailers, a 6 tonne Fast-Flow Hopper and a Sand Placement Hopper from Sheltons, but there was one condition with the sale; Shelton's were to personally commission the machines on their arrival in New Zealand! Ed Gilbert from Shelton's was more than happy to oblige, particularly as Ed is a rugby fan and the machinery was due to arrive right in the middle of the Rugby World Cup!

Rob confirmed he has no regrets about travelling so far to find the best equipment, in fact he says he is thrilled with the results: 'The equipment we purchased from Sheltons has been fantastic - real quality, thank you very much'. In fact Aaron from Turftech confirmed that 'the Shelton 6 Tonne Fast-flow has increased psheltonroductivity tenfold'.

Shelton's export their specialist sportsturf drainage machinery all over the world.
