AGCSA superintendent members can now access a specially formulated draft golf course superintendent employment agreement through the AGCSA's HR and Best Practice Service.
The comprehensive 18-page document is available to download through the HR and Best Practice section within the members' area of the AGCSA website (under the menu heading 'Employment Agreement') and has been compiled by AGCSA HR and Best Practice manager Daryl Sellar together with Tim Greenall from Madgwicks law firm. As well as covering all the major areas that you would find in a typical employment contract, the draft agreement also contains a detailed course superintendent position description.
Please note that this is a draft document only and has been prepared by Madgwicks to provide general guidance to AGCSA members. No person should act on the basis of the contents of this draft agreement without seeking formal legal advice tailored to their particular circumstances.
The AGCSA HR and Best Practice area also contains a wealth of other key information for golf course maintenance personnel including the full report of the recent 2011 AGCSA Salary and Wage Survey which provides an up to date review of salaries and wages information for four key course management positions - course superintendent, assistant superintendent, qualified greenkeeper and mechanic. Other material available for download includes position descriptions, management templates as well as the Course Operations Induction Manual for golf club general managers and committee members.
To download the draft golf course superintendent employment agreement contract or to see what the AGCSA HR and Best Practice Service has to offer members, click here to log into the members area of the AGCSA website. To access the services offered through the AGCSA HR and Best Practice Service you must be an AGCSA member.
