• Sportsman’s Charity Event
Friday, 13th November at Parramatta Leagues Club
The Sportsman’s Charity Event is one of the largest social events of the turf industry and is always a great day. Guests are entertained by sporting personalities and throughout the day raffles, auction of sporting memorabilia and fun activities take place. We have made a few changes to this years event including the starting time now at 3.30pm and concluding at 8.30pm. We have also planned a program that includes plenty of socialising time for guests.

Our guest speaker for 2009 is Brett Kimmorley from the Bulldogs Rugby League Club. No doubt Brett will have plenty of great stories to tell from his extensive Rugby League career. We are also pleased to welcome Steve Allan as our MC for the event. Steve is the man behind all the NRL presentations including Grand Final day.

This year the chosen charity is 'MOVEMBER'. Considering we are an industry predominantely of men, we felt it fitting to chose a charity that supports men's health through Beyond Blue and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. So the challenge is on to see who in the Turf Industry can grow the best Mo for the STA Sportsman's Charity Event.
