Superintendent – Dave Mason

Riversdale Golf Club was established in 1892. The Club is home to the Riversdale Cup, Australia’s premier amateur event, which is traditionally held each year at Riversdale over the Labour Day weekend. The club is one of the most exclusive private clubs in Melbourne with a long waiting list to join as a 7 day member. The club is currently undergoing a multi million dollar expansion and refurbishment of their clubhouse, to ensure it stays one of Australia's best.

One well equipped workshop with grinders, laiths, welding equipment and the works!

Not forgetting a fully computerized watering system.

Riversdale's sheds are fairly big. The only thing letting them down might be the lunch room and office being joined to the main shed, however this appears a standard layout for golf course sheds. The place is very tidy with lines on the ground indicating parking areas for all machines. The health and safety set up is top notch with places for everything and a clear fire plan. It's hard to find a fault, except maybe there are too many machines for the shed space; I'm sure there were a few missing from the list.

A handy tip we picked up would be the lines on the ground indicating parking bays for the machines, when you have this much kit you need to have it packed in tightly. Also a hazard tape marked the areas no machine could park, these are used as fire exits.

Overall Grade: A -

Well done on a nice set-up.
