Sports Fields, Myimbarr, Shellharbour, NSW.

Sanoplant was used in the construction of 2 new sports fields.

There were a number of specific objectives, such as the need to save irrigation water and nutrients, to achieve a good playing surface on a stable field, minimise maintenance, and to be ecologically responsible with regard to the nearby wetlands.

Initially Sanoplant was only mixed into one of the new fields, so that the results could be monitored. This was understandable as Sanoplant is new in Australia, and there was some scepticism of water holding products in general. It was soon evident that the water holding capacity of the field had been vastly improved, and the turf established much faster than usual. The decision was soon taken to apply Sanoplant into the 2nd new field.

The use of Sanoplant and the innovative thinking of the parties involved, was featrured on 8 May 2007 during "Innovations week".
