Barwon Heads Golf Club Course Superintendent Peter Frewin has stepped down as Course Superintendent after 21 years and a stint as AGCBarwon Heads Golf ClubSA President.

Peter who was AGCSA president from 1996-2001, broke the news to assistant Mick Russell and staff on Monday and will finish on 1st June.  Peter has done a terrific job at Barwon Heads during his time with the course, a regular inside the top 30 in Golf Digests top 100 Australian golf courses. Peter has done particularly well in regards to water management wBarwon Heads Golf Clubith the use of reclaimed water and the installation of an RO plant during his time at Barwon.

Peter becomes the third high profile departure within Victoria in recent times. It follows news of Jim Porter’s resignation from Royal Melbourne and Michael Picken’s departure from Riversdale last year.

See Articles for Jim Porter & Michael Picken.

With Peter's 21 years of service at Barwon Heads since he arrival from The Lakes Golf Club, he decided that after two decades it was time for a change and to spend more time with his family.
