This Friday sees the official opening of what is already being flagged as one of the world’s most spectacular golfing facilities. The brand new state-of-the-art Sanctuary Cove Country Club Clubhouse opened in December 2009 but the official opening ceremony will take place this Friday 9 April from 4.30pm.

Over $12 million dollars was spent creating this exclusive and stunning golf clubhouse which is located overlooking the 18th hole on The Pines championship golf course.

Designed by renowned architects Cox Rayner, the clubhouse features an undulating floating roof system that mimics the unique course layout of The Pines.

Boasting full height glazed glass walls providing natural light and uninterrupted views of The Pines, it’s clear to see why members are thrilled with their new clubhouse.

Sanctuary Cove Country Club President Greg Herring said members are thoroughly enjoying the new facilities.

“Having the clubhouse overlooking the 18th hole of The Pines is perfect. There’s a real sense of camaraderie amongst our members who are now spending more time relaxing together in the Lakeside Bar and Jabiru Restaurant” said Greg.

Over 200 people are expected to attend the official opening of the Sanctuary Cove Clubhouse including Mulpha Australia Executive Chairman Seng Huang Lee, Local Federal Member Mr Stuart Robert MP and Local State Member Michael Crandon MP.

Current Club President Greg Herring will be joined by past Presidents Phil Billings, Harry Kember and Murray Sargent who will together pull the curtain and declare the club as officially open.
