Liberal candidate for Corangamite Sarah Henderson pledged the cash at Skilled, flanked by Cats president Frank Costa, CEO Brian Cook, Captain Cameron Ling and coach Mark Thompson.

Stage three will include:
- INCREASED capacity to 34,500;GEELONG sports museum;
- COMMUNITY and wellness centre;
- NEW events live site within Kardinia Park to host major events;
- NEW training, playing, spectator and change rooms for the Geelong Cricket Club, and;
- NEW 1000 seat function room for private and business functions.

Ms Henderson said the commitment would make Skilled one of the most modern stadiums in Australia. "Geelong will be better placed to attract more events which will enable us to further showcase this great city,'' she said.

Reflecting the excitement at Catland, Thompson joked that Ms Henderson could be deputy coach of Geelong this week. Mr Costa said it was a great day for the club. "I can't tell you how excited the club is," he said.

"With this development the stadium will be in such a condition it could bring Geelong cricket into the world competition of 2020."
