As part of the largest product launch in John Deere Golf's history, the company is excited to introduce the customer-inspired 8000 E-Cut Hybrid Fairway Mower.
By combining the benefits of John Deere's E-Cut line with its PrecisionCut line and adding John Deere Quick Adjust 5 (QA5) cutting units, the 8000 E-Cut allows the operator to mow fairways like greens, with a tighter stripe, excellent contour following and exceptional maneuverability. With more power but less noise and emission, this machine offers a 37.1-hp engine and is designed to deliver the high-quality cut needed on any golf course.
The 8000 provides a narrow, 80-inch width-of-cut with five QA5 18-inch cutting units, along with a three-wheel configuration that allows for increased productivity around the tightest bunkers as well as large tee boxes.
"The three-wheel configuration was a direct result of customer feedback," said Gregg Breningmeyer, director of sales and marketing, John Deere Golf. "The customer requested more maneuverability in an 80-inch width-of-cut, and that's exactly what we provided."
The 48-volt system that drives the cutting units eliminates all potential leak points from the reel drive circuit while still providing the superior reliability and power superintendents and technicians expect from a John Deere mower.
For hill-climbing ability, John Deere's exclusive GRIP All-Wheel Drive Traction System comes standard with the 8000 E-Cut. This traction feature minimizes wheel slip by routing hydraulic flow from wheels that slip to wheels that grip. The GRIP system provides the operator with excellent traction when at work, whether mowing up and down inclines or side-to-side across hills. This feature also reduces the chance of tire markings.
"By listening and reacting to what our customers have to say about our products, we are able to provide them with the right equipment with the exact features they're looking for," said Breningmeyer. "The 8000 E-Cut is just one of the eight new products we've developed based on that input."
