Major WA John Deere dealer Greenline Ag Pty Ltd this week announced a "strategic" acquisition of the Guildford John Deere dealership CJD Equipment.
Greenline Ag directors Mike Hutton (left), Blue Charlesworth, Stuart Smart and Hal Walton this week announced the company's acquisition of Guildford John Deere dealership CJD Equipment with former New Zealand John Deere dealership managing director Martin
It comes less than 12 months after John Deere gave its approval to the biggest machinery dealer acquisition in WA when the then newly formed Greenline Ag Pty Ltd took over the operations of John Deere franchises at Wagin, Lake Grace, Narrogin, Boyup Brook and Pingelly. This week's move provides Greenline with a new and large population base on which to expand into several markets, including lifestyle, horticulture, viticulture, local government, golf and turf and small agricultural operations.

According to Greenline chairman Hal Walton, the acquisition, for an undisclosed price, follows the board's strategy to strengthen and grow the business.

The board has invited Mingenew farmer Stuart Smart as a director and shareholder of Greenline Ag Pty Ltd.

The newly acquired dealership will be managed by Martin Miller, formerly the managing director of a John Deere Dealership Group in New Zealand and he is joined by chartered accountant Lynda Shaw who has had 11 years John Deere dealership experience.
