The 72nd Ba Golf Club Open Championship and the 40th year of RC Manubhai Sponsorship of this great event is scheduled for next November 3rd-4th, over two rounds of 18 holes of stroke play.
The BGC 9 holes layout course located within three metres drive from the heart of Ba's commercial centres, has its own unique playing characteristics with undulating fairways boarded by Sugar Cane farms with a number of elevated greens and tees.
Once a sporting recreations to the dominant Colonial Sugar Refineries Mill workers of the 1930s to the 1960s, now mainly patronized by Indo Fijian golfers, under the able leadership of Marnish Patel of Bombay Trading as its incumbent Captain through the year.
BGC has produced many of the countries' top playing amateurs in both men and women. Billed as one of the most popular yearly events under the sponsorship of RC Manubhai, it is expected to receive capacity entry of golfers throughout Fiji.
According to RC Manubhai director Rajesh Patel, excellent preparation is in place and as a major sponsor they look forward to hosting another exciting event.
