The NSW Golf Association is delighted to advise that 8 of our affiliated clubs were the beneficiaries of grants allocated by the NSW State Government’s capital Assistance Program.
NSW Golf Association
In a letter to Greg Mills, CEO of NSWGA, the Minister for Sport and Recreation and the Minister for Gaming and Racing, Mr Kevin Greene MP was pleased to announce that the grants were provided to assist with the development of local and recreational facilities, and importantly will have a positive impact on the community’s opportunity to participate in the sport.

The grants allocated to the golf clubs were for works ranging from the upgrading of water drainage, to building pathways, constructing storage sheds, installing of toilets on the course and construction of golf practice nets on the driving range.

In the letter Mr Greene thanked the NSWGA for its commitment and valuable contribution to the development of the game in NSW. Mr Mills and NSWGA President, Stuart Cox, recently met with the Minister on a range of topics affecting the golfing industry in the state and received positive feedback, which augurs well for the future support of the game by the NSW State Government.

Clubs and courses in NSW to be allocated grants were:-

Barraba Golf Club
Eastlake Golf Club
Wentworth Falls Country Club
Hillston Golf Course
Toukley Golf Club
Muirfield Golf Club
Russell Vale Golf Club
Cowra Golf Club
Camden Haven Golf Club

We take this opportunity to thank the NSW State Government for its support of golf and encourage clubs to consider applying for grants of this nature in the future.
