Programmed Maintenance Services has bought golf course and race track maintenance company Turnpoint for $9.1 million. Turnpoint, which began as a golf course constructor and maintenance firm, currently is carrying out work on courses designed by the likes of Greg Norman and Ernie Els.

Rangers have trapped and removed a crocodile from a Cairns golf course, in far north Queensland, overnight. The two-metre female croc was caught in a floating trap in a pond at the Half Moon Bay golf course at Yorkeys Knob.

A man has drowned in a freak accident when the ride-on lawnmower he was using slid into a golf course water hazard and trapped him underwater. Emergency services discovered his body at the back of in a dam inside Ocean Shores Golf Course at 10.30am this morning.
