V.T.E.T.ALine marking has leapt into the future with the introduction of the BeamRider from Toro Australia

The leading worldwide provider of commercial turf and turf management equipment, Toro Australia has been providing leading technology, superior support and integrated solutions to customers since 1914. The BeamRider at the Turf Show in Melbourne

Unlike traditional line marking, which is time-consuming and often produces uneven results, the BeamRider utilises the latest laser guided technology to create lines which achieve millimetre accuracy.

Developed over three years in conjunction with UK military researchers and optical specialists, the BeamRider features cutting edge electronic and optical elements which ensure that lines are perfectly straight each time, every time.

With mechanical components developed by top Swiss automotive engineers the Beamrider incorporates specifically developed software, which continually undertakes self-testing and error checking to ensure that even the slightest variation from its normal operating function is reported.

The BeamRider components include: a laser unit, actuator, kombi and reflectors.

The BeamRider at the Turf Show in MelbourneUsing the lasers and reflectors simply lock in the BeamRider onto the laser beam and walk forward, the actuator automatically adjusts to remove any human error, and if the laser beam is lost, the spray nozzle switches off automatically.

With such high accuracy, the BeamRider can complete most work in under an hour. Whether marking fresh or existing lines, the BeamRider eliminates the need for traditional 3,4,5 triangles, string or line.

Having fulfilled the professional requirements of a number of leading greenkeepers and throughout Australia, the Toro Beamrider has made even more headway at the John Paul College in Queensland.

Martyn Headley, Greenkeeper of John Paul College comments: The Beamrider
"After using a Beamrider we will never be satisfied with conventional line marking. Line definition and presentation is improved dramatically. Ease of use and time savings are a bonus. Fleet paints add to the presentation, mixing well and leaving a
pure white finish."

Ideal for any large-area application such as football grounds and tennis surfaces, the BeamRider is the true specialist multi-surface marker.

The BeamRider is available in two models, the SX & CT.
