Magazine: Central North Island Turf Managers Day Register For Auckland Golf Club

Our association has been invited to a day at Auckland Golf Club by Course Superintendent Brendan Allen.
In the morning session Brendan will host us at his maintenance facility for a look around and some information about the course. Following the morning session we will enjoy a BBQ lunch at the maintenance facility. After lunch Auckland Golf Club have generously invited us to play golf and then enjoy dinner in their clubhouse.
A strict dress code of Golf Attire will be worn by all attending CNITMA members. No jeans, large advertising logos, beer logos or such like is permitted on the course or in the clubhouse. Golf pants(long) and shirts(polo stlye or similar) with your own club logos are acceptable. Soft spike golf shoes must also be worn on the golf course.
Please adhere to these standards or you will not be permitted into Auckland Golf Club. If you have any queries regarding the dress code please ring Jason Perkins – 027 249 0160 or Greg Swafford – 027 290 4554.
The cost for the day will be $50 per CNITMA member which includes lunch, dinner, golf and sparkling repartee with your colleagues and peers. Numbers for this highly anticipated event are strictly limited to the first 30 paid CNITMA MEMBERS only.
Transport to Auckland Golf Club will be your own responsibility.

The Auckland Golf Club is a private Golf Club that was founded in 1894, with the first course situated at the Auckland Domain.
In the 1890's the Club moved to farmland at Greenlane and then in April 1900 the Auckland Golf Club's lease of the One Tree Hill site was secured.
In 1907 the Club purchased land at Otahuhu which was to become the permanent home of the Auckland Golf Club with the links being opened in April 1910.
Today the Auckland Golf Club is one of the top parkland courses in New Zealand. Many National and International tournaments have been held on the course including New Zealand Opens, New Zealand Amateurs and the Bonallack Trophy which was held in 2006.
