Magazine: Broken Hill Golf Club Considers Casino
By Editor in Golf on 16th Jul 2008 8:00
The sale of the Broken Hill Golf Club will be finalised today.
The sale has been on the agenda for five years and it has been bought by a Mildura-based development company, Dialena Nominees.
Director Tony Carrazza will not say how much he paid, but he says he wants to upgrade the course and clubhouse and he has plans for a four to five star hotel on the site, and possibly a casino.
"If we can achieve the casino idea it would be a great thing for Broken Hill which will be a benefit to all," he said.
"I guess my biggest thing is that we have the racecourse and the [golf club] adjacent to each other, by working together we can achieve quite a few great proposals for Broken Hill."
