Magazine: Wallabies For Upgraded Adelaide Oval

Adelaide Oval redevelopment has significantly lifted the state's hopes of hosting major rugby Test matches involving the Wallabies.
Australian Rugby Union boss John O'Neill today declared world champion South Africa and England would be possible contenders to play the Wallabies at Adelaide Oval when work on the stadium was completed in 2014.
Capacity at the oval will be lifted to 50,000 and O'Neill, in Adelaide today to promote the South Australian leg of the IRB Sevens World Series on March 19-21, said the ARU would seriously look at the venue for ``big test matches''.
However, the capacity fell well short of what is required for Adelaide to host a Bledisloe Cup clash against New Zealand.
