Robbie Snell and his company Sunstate Aquaseeding & Hydromulching have an interesting history.
Robbie says he originally began his career in earthmoving “by shaping golf courses for Jack Nicklaus” including the Heritage Country Club Course in the Yarra Valley in Victoria and the Lakelands course on the Gold Coast as well as a number of Norman designed courses overseas.
Backed by twenty five years in earthmoving Robbie established his Sunstate business and now works on sports field renovation, construction of horse arenas, general earthmoving on building sites and residential land development projects as well as hydro mulching and aquaseeding.
He regards projects as “anywhere between Brisbane and Gladstone” as his territory.
Robbie has recently purchased a Lawless Turf Grader to add to his equipment fleet.
With a working width of 2.150 metres the Lawless Grader is ideal for levelling surfaces under laser grade control in very confined spaces or small area requirements.
Designed to be trailed behind a small horsepower tractor the Lawless Grader is ideal for the rehabilitation, renovation and maintenance of turf surfaces including golf greens and tees, bowling greens, sports ovals and similar competitive pitches, turf farms, car parks, building foundations, in fact anywhere a level or designated surface grade is required.
Manufactured in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley by Graham Lawless the Lawless Turf Grader is used at most of Australia’s premier sporting arenas including the MCG, the SCG and the ‘Gabba for construction or maintenance purposes.
“We have also gained an international reputation for small area levelling and grading and we’ve exported machines to New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore recently” Graham Lawless says.
While the Lawless Turf Grader is designed to work with a laser grade control system, some operators find that with practice and experience they can achieve a surface which is graded to the desired level manually without a laser.
The machine operates from the tractor or independent hydraulics and is fitted with a floating rear axle with turf tyres that leave no impression on the graded surface.
“We have also added a website at www.lawlesslasers.com.au to respond to enquiries and requests for information” Graham Lawless noted.
