Brooklands Country Estate
Brooklands Country Estate, a 5 star country retreat just south of Auckland, NZ, is recognized around the world as one of New Zealand’s most exclusive and charming small luxury hotels and conference venues.

Set in 8 hectares of beautiful gardens and native bush, Brooklands offers a wide range of activities including a floodlit TigerTurf tennis court and brand new 180 square metre golf green, two tees and a driving bay net. Brookland’s management wanted to create an area with recreational options for clients which included golf, skeet shooting and archery.

The initial brief was for a golf green but the experienced TigerTurf Golf & Lawn team was able to complete the whole project.

The planning and installation had its challenges. The site area was small and fitting all the options into the available area required careful planning and design. The green is designed to be hit onto from two different angles as well as from a bunker. The driving net and Tee serves also for the skeet shooting and archery.

Access was also an issue requiring a new metal road to be built up to the site and inclement weather hindered the installation process.

After eight months of planning, the client’s vision was formed with the final touch being a new heli pad built using a TigerTurf hockey turf.
