1. Free hire of our direct seeder... 2. Select a quality turf ryegrass... 3. 5 point plan to for winter excellence... 4. Promotional offer... 1. Hire our direct seeder FREE of charge To ensure you get the best strike from your seeding operation, you are welcome to FREE hire of our direct seeder (SISIS) with seed purchased from Living Turf. This unit hooks up to a 3 point tractor linkage and is ground driven, so it requires no PTO connection.
Our seeder is meticulously maintained and delivers seed at either 350 or 150 kg / ha in a single pass. Availability is limited so place your order early as forward bookings are essential. 2. Select a quality turf ryegrass CARAVELLE is the only zero endophyte, perennial turf ryegrass in our market, and as a result it is uniquely suited for transitional overseeding.
Ryegrass endophyte is a fungus that has been bred into modern turf ryegrass to make it resistant to external pressures such as insects and disease. An unfortunate side effect of endophyte however, is a chemical competition it brings to a mixed sward. The scientific term for the toxins released into the soil environment by endophyte, to reduce competition from neighbouring grasses, is 'alleliopathy'. Because CARAVELLE is free of endophyte it lives quite happily in a mixed sward with couch or kikuyu, dominating the sward in cool winter temperatures and naturally reducing it's dominance when summer temperatures return, allowing warm season grass to regenerate. Make no mistake, mixed swards containing endophyte enhanced grasses will require additional inputs to counteract alleliopathy in spring. Use CARAVELLE where strong attractive winter growth and trouble free spring transition are both high priorities.
RELIANT II represents the best in NZ breeding of premium turf ryegrass. Combining rich green colour and winter activity, RELIANT II is bred for southern hemisphere, high performance sportsturf. Use RELIANT II in premium sportsturf situations where aggressive winter performance and televised fixtures require premium presentation from the first round right through to the semi final series.
FRONT ROW BLEND is a three way mix of NZ bred and grown ryegrasses, to give maximum winter activity for ongoing repair in high wear situations. Some grounds just get hammered in winter, far beyond their carrying capacity. Managers often hold up their hands and say no matter what rye they choose they can't keep a surface. Use FRONT ROW BLEND if this sounds like you - winter use of fields beyond they carrying capacity.
AM BLEND is a three way mix of US bred, NZ grown ryegrass material. Having established a reputation for premium presentation, this is the movie star ryegrass blend for maximum presentation. AM BLEND is a versatile mix of genetic material, making it resistant to a wide variety of environmental conditions. Use AM BLEND for golf course tees, high profile lawns and general sportsturf applications.
