image596193136.jpgWe try to take care of all the things the guys need bit at times it gets a bit frustrating. For course service we started buying the elastic band headlights that use AAA batteries.

I had 4, numbered and hanging on the key board for use. I also was using rechargable batteries on them. When they would disappear I’d replace them. When the nice Petzel ones didn’t make it back I started to downgrade the quality. When I came back from vacation and none were there I decided we just couldn’t continue with the program.

It’s a shame. One of our 20 Basics, that we use to help manage the Resort, is “I take ownership”. Obviously we have a bit more work to do on that one.

Still, not to give up entirely. We’ll provide batteries for anyone who buys there own light (AAA). And to help with that, we came up with this inexpensive way to mount it on a ball cap.

You just cut a small slit about 3/4 of an inch from the side edge, and slip a piece of doublesided Velcro through. You use this to secure the small flashlight. I’m sure you’ve seen these small lights at auto parts and home improvement stores for about $4 or s
