On Pitchcare Oceania's recent NZ trip we called into Pakuranga Country Club. We were lucky enough to visit the 18-hole course which is one of the top five courses in the Auckland area. Long time Pitchcare member Wendy took the risk by agreeing to answer Pitchcare Oceania's 21 Questions.

Place Of Work & Position: Pakuranga Country Club and Assistant Superintendent.

Family: Currently Single, parents and younger brother.
Favourite Food: Roast pork, love my roasts.
Favourite Movie: Green Street Hooligans
Favourite Band: Nirvana.

Teams Barrack for: Newcastle United- I'm a Geordie! and the Gold Coast Titans in the League
Favourite Sport: Cricket
Hobbies: Coaching for cricket and sometimes Soccer, I also love reading

Drinker & Favourite Drink: Yes can you be a greenkeeper and answer no? Speight's Gold Medal Ale and Whisky and dry are my favourites.
Places Travelled: All over Europe and England and also Australia.

Favourite Machine: LF 3800 Fairway mower. Big Wrap for Jacobsen

What would make your job easier: No Golfers!

Favourite company in the Turf Industry: Evensturf, they do a lot for us-they had the open bar last night after the conference as well! They are always dropping off hats etc for the guys which helps.
Most Annoying Rep: Craig Barry from Turfcare Equipment NZ, he's always coming in and eating Mc Donald's when I'm on a diet!

Industry's Biggest Cowboy: Craig will take this well again! Craig Barry he's always bringing in products which don't work.
Who is the Turf God: Peter Boyd always has a answer for everything, and he's my boss!
What's Your biggest cockup: We got the lake drained and the silt dug out and dumped off to a waste area. After awhile all the golf balls came up to the surface, anyway one cold and frosty morning all the boys said off you, go get the golf balls. I only got three passes in, had one my brand new winter uniform and new work boots, and I just sunk straight down, I couldn't get out. All the guys did a runner and left me there. After awhile I pulled myself out using a tree branch and managed to find my boots. I was a good hour and a half in there!
Funniest moment in the workplace: A young guy worked for us for over a period of time. He injured his neck playing rugby, when he came back to work he still had loss of balance. Anyway he would fall over everywhere, raking pots walking to a machine!
What's your Motto: Don't let the bastards get you down

Who would you turn Gay for: Not a great question when I play women's cricket, I think 90% of women's cricket is gay! So, I play cricket and I'm not gay, but Jessica Biel.
