2009 Sportsfield & Cricket Seminar
For open space managers and their greenkeeping staff.
Where: Blacktown Olympic Park
When: 26th August, 8:00 for 8:30 - 2:00
Cost: Free
If you haven't already registered for our pre-spring seminar, here's a few reasons why you should;
1. ACB cricket curator panel and open forum
Meet the curators from our national cricket grounds and ask them yourself about how they plan on changing their grounds over from winter to summer sport.
- Bellerieve Oval
- Adelaide Oval
- Sydney Cricket Ground
- WACA
2. Special guest speaker - Darryl Brohman
We are excited that Darryl Brohman will be our special guest speaker on the day. Darryl is a sports media personality who says things the way they are and is sure to inject his own brand of humour into proceedings, to make this a day to remember.
3. Kangaroos Jersey - prize draw
To stay with the sportsfield theme and to reward our sponsors (Syngenta, Simplot, Matchplay) we are offering a signed 2008 Kangaroos Jersey, to be drawn on the day.
To qualify for the draw simply order any Simplot, Syngenta or Matchplay products during the month of August to the value of $1,000 or more.
Entries will be accepted right up to the draw which is scheduled for 2pm on the day of the seminar.
4. Phantom core demonstration
The 'Phantom Corer' is designed and manufactured by greenkeepers, for greenkeepers. It's simplicity and effectiveness is capturing the imagination of the entire industry, since it's launch at the AGCSA show in Tasmania.
Evergreen NSW have kindly offered to demonstrate the Phantom for our delagates.
In addition, the turf managers who developed the Phantom corer will be attending to tell us how and why they developed this unique aeration implement.
5. Also featured
In addition to the above, short sharp and informative presentations will be delivered by various experts on;
- new fungicide product development
- new soil moisture care technology
- new goal post products and services
- new calcium product for soil conditioning
